The OwnTracks client app reports GPS, WiFi/cellular, and battery percentage information The server rejects data outside the course boundary, so only data within the course area is stored. All information is available publicly on the live tracking page for 30 days after the last location is recorded. We may retain information indefinitely to help improve the system in the future. We may release de-identified versions of your data in the future.
If you use an account linked to your race registration, your data is identifiable by the name you used to register.
We collect and analyze the GPX data you upload. GPS coordinates and processing results are stored for a maximum of 7 days, and we do not retain anything beyond this period. We don't share your results page. The URL can be viewed by anyone, so you can share it if you like.
